I made this shirt for the release of his newest album, Lasers and it has become a staple in my wardrobe. Since today marks the first day of summer and it is a sweatshirt as opposed to a t-shirt, I suppose I'll put it away for a while. But it will be back in full effect next winter...

T-$hirt Tuesday: Kanye Hate

I ♥ street wear! And my most favorite items to purchase other than dope ass jewelry are t-shirts!

I'm a busty lady (its a gift and a curse) so no matter what kind of shirt I have on (tee, tank, sweater, hoodie, etc...) it is apparent... I figure if people are gonna stare at my chest, they might as well get some reading in or learn a thing or two so I frequently rock shirts that are edgy and/or controversial. My fascination with t-shirts started 5 years ago when I decided to make Lupe Fiasco concerts my first priority in life. Starting with show #2, I would make one of a kind tees to show my love and support for Lu and his crew...

Though I'm still the premier Lupe Fiasco fan, I don't make Lupe Fiasco specific shirts as frequently as I used to and have turned my attention to street wear companies to fuel my habit...

The opportunity to purchase this has already come and gone. And I wouldnt have bought it anyway. I dont hate Kanye West. He's the Kobe Bryant of hip-hop and his lyrics are often saturated with arrogance but I love it! I love Kobe and I love Kanye. The world is filled with assholes and dickheads with ginormous egos. At least his is warranted ...

Still, this shirt is fucking hilarious and I would have loved to see someone wearing it...

Pon De Replay: The Players Club

I'm a self-proclaimed movie buff. I will watch anything. That's right, I said anything. Well, at least give anything a chance. Often times I discover diamonds in the cinematic rough...

Though Ivorii and I hit up the movie theater once a week, my DVD player is rarely off. I love movies and watch them at leisure. From time to time, I will watch a movie I havent seen in a while. When this happens, the post will be entitled Pon De Replay. No Rihanna...

Well, this week I decided to treat myself to the $5 bargain bin at the local Walmart. There were a few movies I wanted to load up with, but I ended up settling on these three:

The one I was most excited about seeing was The Players Club.

I hadn't seen it in at least 7 years but I quote it regularly and remember it being pretty damn funny thanks to A.J. Johnson and Bernie Mac.

Just like anything else, things aren't always what they seem, or rather, what you remember them to be and I soon realized just how awful this movie is. Despite the star studded cast, the acting is mediocre at best, the storyline is ludicrous and the characters have no depth and many border on being complete clowns.

Basically it's just a bad movie.

Still, I'm glad I got it. Theres nothing like a good bad movie. This will definitely be in heavy rotation in my DVD player as one of my black cinema guilty pleasures...
